On February 27, 2016 Panyarat High School held the last "Parents Meeting" of the 2015 academic year.  Dr. Wachit presented a year-in-review followed by the foreign teachers who also presented on curriculum, projects and student work.  If you were unable to attend the meeting or would like to review the presentations you may access them here:  February 27, 2016 Presentations

At Panyarat High School, we want students to be safe, responsible, and ethical in the digital world. Giving students a solid understanding of how we expect them to behave -- both online and off – is the goal of this year’s Digital Citizenship Month.

As part of Digital Citizenship Month students have been busy creating artwork with Kru Cliff to show what they've learned!  Take a look at some of the outstanding posters here:

This year's theme for Panyarat High Schools' annual Digital Citizenship Month is "Using Common Sense".  This year's theme has a double meaning or "double entendre".  Students, teachers and parents should use common sense when using technology.but also have access to resources to help them use technology responsibly.  Common Sense media is a great resource and this year's DC Month will bring awareness to these resources.  The link can be found "here".

Panyarat High School students have benefited from Digital Citizenship since the school adopted a Digital Citizenship initiative 4 years ago.  At the same time Digital Citizenship has gained traction as a curriculum in schools across the World.  Common Sense Media has been at the forefront of making Digital Citizenship curriculum and materials accessible to teachers, students and parents.  This year’s Panyarat High School Digital Citizenship month will focus on bringing awareness to the resources available from Common Sense Media.

Please see the "Project Details Page" for more information on this year's student projects.

Since New Year, the students in M5 have been working on a charity project. They have been learning about persuasive writing and how it is used by charities to maximise donations. This coincides with their field trip to work with Blind and disadvantaged students from a CFBT (Christian Foundation for the Blind in Thailand) school in Lopburi, taking place in February 2016.

Last week, on January 7th, we held a Google Hangout lesson with Becky Calder, who has worked for many charities, including OXFAM New Zealand.  As a marketing professional she gave the student some pointers on what to include in their writing, and introduced some new persuasive devices to be used.
